We like to look after your wallet, too. Whenever you come to The Interceptor you can get a great deal, as well as a great meal. There’s a different deal every day of the week. The fun doesn’t have to stop when you finish your meal either. One of the great things about the Interceptor is that there’s so much to see and do nearby. For example, we’re in easy driving distance of: Aston Hall, Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park and Cadbury World.
Spontaneously popped in for food with a friend. Saw it was curry and drink for £7.. be rude not to. I had the chicken jalfrazi and my friend had the korma. Both looked less than appetising apparently the korma was ok. Mine was just disgusting. The chicken was hard and dry with bone piece being rock hard. I’m not one to usually complain but it was dreadful! Showed the bar man the piece of chicken that was like stone and said the rest isn’t much better. They offered me something else which I politely declined so then I was offered a refund. Can’t fault the service in that respect. I hope this is a one off because some other dishes that were coming out looked quite nice.
Went for breakfast at the interceptor. Was average food wise with pale sausage and overcooked egg. The biggest let down was I paid an extra £1 for a piece of toast and it was tiny and cold so butter wouldn't melt. I wouldn't order extra toast again. The best thing though was the amazing service from both the lady who brought my tea and the young lad who brought my breakfast and checked on me. Friendly smiling and absolutely the stars in the pub. Hope the bosses appreciate them both.
We been here before and enjoyed our meal but service is getting longer as been here since 5.30pm had our main meal and then waited another 30mins for our pudding which was lovely as we shared and the child had hers but definitely needs more staff.
I visited here today just for a quick drink in the afternoon while out shopping. I've eaten here before and not had any problem other than on occasion it takes a while for the order to come out. Always found the food to be hot and fresh, with a few offers during the week. Do recommend the Southern fried chicken skewers with the peri peri sauce, fries and salad. Just perfect! Ordering via the Greene King app works fine with no issues, can be easier than going to the bar for complex orders like a group all wanting the 'mix it up' of different things. Staff at the bar today were getting through the orders quickly, friendly and with a smile. Very helpful too especially when came to using a voucher and guiding through what to do, no complaints at all here. Atmosphere - Tables being cleared quickly, and found somewhere to sit with no problems. Background music is at a reasonable level so can still hear conversation. Being school holidays, it is a bit like being in a zoo with all the kids running around. Very family friendly, perhaps not so much for a quiet drink. Toilets were okay, the lock on the door was broken and bits of rubbish around. Not their fault, but could do with a few more checks / cleaning. Will come back again for a meal and the odd drink, but unlikely for drinks alone as a bit on the pricey side compared to other places could go for that.
Place was dirty, the entrance floor had spilt drinks and food that no one bothered to clean up, the table we sat at was sticky too, ordered drinks, my wine glass has lipstick on so I had to send it back. The food was warm and dry, chicken was pale and unseasoned. Drinks were discusting the whole place needs an overhaul and a proper chef and kitchen staff needs to be employed and a competent floor manage, never going there again
