We were standing waiting a while for someone to come on reception and to take us to our table, the drinks machine was running out and I had to go back 3 times to see if it had been refilled, something you shouldn't have to do when out for a family meal. When the meals came there were no corn on the cobs so I had to get the waitress to go and get them. The waitress was very attentive although she seemed to be rushed off her feet.
I like to review places fairly. So, with that being said, I've never been more sure of a two-star review, as the food, service and atmosphere were all haggard (apart from one glimmer of hope). A member of our group was asked if she liked anything about her stack burger, to which she replied, "the tomato in the burger - it was nice and warm". The Good / Glimmer: • The salad bar. Better than the food that followed. The Bad: • No olives for a friend who travelled all the way for them • Most elements of the roast dinner overcooked • Headache-inducing wafts of grease from the kitchen The Ugly: • Raw pastry of the apple pie - flashed in the oven • Waited 30-40 minutes for drinks after asking twice • The grey smush of the brussel sprouts
Haven't been to a harvester for a while, I was surprised to enjoy the food and menu selection. This was a flat bread and was delicious, meat was tasty and the bread was beautifully cooked! Will be returning.
We had late lunch on Monday :) did not book the table. Not crowded. Staff are generally friendly but bit slow service. I think less staff are working on weekdays. Salad bar some are fresh some are not fresh. And looks like the chicken portions small than before. Still good tasty 😋 toilet was clean and lots of space for car parking 🅿️ you need to enter your car reg at front till. Lunch set also available but we ordered separated main and drink each. Total we paid around £40 !! I think it’s still good price !!
First time visiting here and was a very pleasant experience. Food was very nicely cooked. Staff were very friendly, especially our waitress Jackie, who made a great effort to ensure we had a great time. Keep up the great work.
