About us

The Red Lion dates back to the eighteenth century, when we offered "pony and traps to hire along with good stabling". Today the service at The Red Lion is slightly different, we offer a warm and relaxed atmosphere in an idyllic setting in the Warwickshire countryside, although we still welcome guests from all around the area.

A country pub oozing rural charm and rustic character, our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar.

Whether you are planning dinner with friends or Sunday lunch with family, book a table online and enjoy some quality time with those you love the most.

Lots of parking spaces, even when busy. We had prawns and scallops for starter. Then our main was Steak and venison pie and desert we fished of with Christmas pudding and custard. Service was excellent and the food was lovely, compliments to the chef! All in all a lovely experience in a lovely setting and atmosphere. Keep up the good work as will definitely visit again.

very busy which is great advertisement for its self everything was done quickly and efficiently, staff were helpful, polite and didn't rush us during or after our meal. The food, we had Sea Bass as a main was hot and very tasty, well done to the chef who must have been under pressure. Drinks were well presented and we will be happy to return. Can't think of any improvements which is high praise.

Food was lovely, though both of our first choices weren't available (beef sirloin and lamb rump from Sunday menu) - at 17:00. Service was a bit inattentive; everyone was very friendly and pleasant, but took a long time for drinks to come, etc. Otherwise would've rated service 5 stars too.

We were wondering around Earlswood and found this restaurant on busy weekend. We didnt booking but highly recommended to book in advance. We assigned a table next to fire place. If you had asthma or breathing issue please mention to the waiter/waitress before doing that as we found not massively interrupted. We ordered starters orange duck pate and arancini both were beautifully presented and tasty. Only wish they were more bigger portion. Main course I had the day special slow cooked roast pork belly and my husband had fish and chips and side dish macaroni cheese. It was a bit let down as the pork dish weren't came with any small sausages as per menu. The waitress said because pork crackling had replaced for small sausages. If so, I suggested to add that on menu. The pork crackling was crunchy and the pork was a bit hard side (not sure as if was because putting too long pool n microwave hence the meat was tough). The fish and chips weren't the best we had so just averaged. All in all, the service were good and absolutely brilliant atmosphere.
