Children were provided smaller forks and knives which was thoughtful however, the festive menu had ran out and I booked specifically hoping for the New Year’s Eve menu. The posh fish and chips was not posh at all, peas were cold and chips weren’t luxurious. Posh suggests triple cooked chips or something but, was just warmish fish and chips. Roast dinner was only warm and quite disappointing.

I took my little one for a meal here as she fancied a "pub meal". We are newly local so we thought we would try out the Red Lion and see what's happening. The pub is very nice inside, with great staff and the revellers were friendly too. Very good atmosphere as other families were seated having their meals. Very family and children friendly. My little one hand a burger and chips meal and I opted for the mixed grill. We both simultaneously said to each other how nice the chips were. (Best I've had in a pub!!!!) The mixed grill was unreal, thoroughly enjoyed it. Little one loved her food. Would recommend this place any day of the week!!!

A really friendly pub, with a great atmosphere. The perfect place to share good food with friends & loved ones. 💖 The puds were scrumptious, chocolate hunny pot with delicate biscuits, ice cream & honeycomb. 😋 Eaton mess. 🤤 Huge thanks to our server Bella, Nathan at the bar, hilarious Bogdan & the runner (whose name began with A & I've forgotten - so sorry!) You guys made our night! 🫶

Service was ok, bar staff didn't seem to like we requested a new wine glass because the one we had was basically still dirty. Food wasn't any better. The posh fish & chips wasn't good at all. The fish was very oily, couldn't eat it and the chips were under cooked. The scampi was also oily. The steak was cooked correctly but chips were under cooked also and the beef dripping was cold. The pub itself is nice inside and out but food was bad and service could have been a little better for a pub standard. (Photos are the steak meal is what was left over because it was inedible)
