For the past 21 years Scruffys is one of the only Rock Bars left in Birmingham, but with friends and fans with a passion for Rock and Heavy Metal across the UK, the U.S, Norway, Sweden, Germany, France, Australia, New Zealand and all over the world.
Here at Scruffys one of the things we have immense pride for is our rich history in bands and musicians, either performing on our stages or just chilling in our bar. We’ve had regular visits from the members of Naplam Death, Benediction, GBH and Anaal Nathraak to name but a few as well as bands dropping in for a beer while on our tour, such as Tony Iomi (Black Sabbath), Lemmy (Motorhead), Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Lamb Of God.

A friend recommended this place. I enjoyed the atmosphere, it looked very cool inside. In a great central location. It was a bit expensive for me but I say that about most pubs - I didn't pay more than I would've in any other city centre pub. That and how loud the music was inside (had to sit outside as I wanted to be able to speak with my friends) are the only reasons I gave 4/5 stars. Would like to visit again, spend more time and maybe try the food. I like that it's not a chain, I prefer going to independent places. Apart from the somewhat small main room there is also a downstairs and some outside seating. Definitely recommended if you're looking for somewhere cool to have a drink at around the centre.
This pub represents the true rock origin of Birmingham, quality rock music, cozy atmosphere, very clean, organised and well decorated that will make you travel back in time. Staff very friendly. If you like rock this is the place.
Awesome little alternative pub with a good atmosphere and friendly nbar staff and downstairs is a tiny room for live music, it's probably about 50-75 people max cap but great for a really personal show.

The Corporation Street area was laid out from 1878. Seven years later, Lewis’s department store opened at the junction with Bull Street, trading here until 1991. The ground floor of this huge, imposing, square building is now this Wetherspoon pub.
