We hired the back room for a baby shower which was all ready and set up for us. There was over 20 of us and the food all came out together and was still hot. The staff were very friendly and accommodating especially with two guests who had food restrictions. The food tasted fab and great portion sizes.
Absolutely fabulous meals, all at excellent value. Steaks are good had fish today though and it was really nice. Best fish I've had in years anywhere.Great service too. Also spotless. Pleasure to visit.
I hadn't eaten here before so didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. The menu had a lot to offer at really reasonable prices. The staff were helpful and accommodating despite several changes to dishes for fussy eaters. The meals arrived exactly right and were very tasty. The nut allergy in our party was handled with care and a lot of respect for the potential serious nature of the condition, to the extent that separately wrapped utensils accompanied the meal. Very impressed. Would definitely recommend and the Brownie was particularly delicious.
Did not have a great experience here at all, waited an hour for food, which if lots of tables were eating fair enough but there weren’t. But didn’t say anything to the staff as I thought probably short staffed with it being New Year’s Day. Our food finally came out, and my fish did not taste cooked properly at all. I spoke to a girl who apologised and took it away, I then had a Second Lady come up to the table and make me feel a bit interrogated that the fish was cooked and she had put her probe in it. But then offered to have another Second one cooked for me, which I said yes please. I then ordered 3 more drinks to the table, and 2 came out but not the third, my Husband then went up to the bar and asked for the third which the lady said there were only 2 and that she had thrown the receipt away. She then found it in the bin to see there were 3 on the receipt. When the food then come out the fish was no better. So I left it and just eat the chips and peas. I know this is pub grub, I’m not expecting best quality fish but that did not taste right at all. I work in customer service and I would not say this has been a great experience at all. The one girl was lovely though and when part of our food was missing she quickly corrected it for us.
Terrible experience , cold food and rude staff. I told the waitress that my food was cold and she walked off while I was talking to her. With service and quality this bad you really shouldn’t have a sign up inviting us to leave reviews. Talk about setting yourselves up for a fail. First and last time eating here.
