My Wife and I went to the Fendrod for lunch today. First time visit, the food was great for the price. We had a groupon as a gift but to be fair it’s not needed as prices are good. I’ve had £30+ steaks which weren’t cooked as perfectly as the rare rump I ordered, the starters and mains were really hot and quick to be served by the friendly waiting staff, coffees and desert (fruit crumble) was great too and big portion. Bar staff were friendly, professional and efficient, all round fantastic. One bit of advice it was quite busy (Friday lunchtime) our fault as we sat near the bar and people coming in for lunchtime drinks if you prefer quieter avoid the tables closest to bar, we will be definitely visiting again in the future.
Although I did not eat in The Fendrod Inn food being served to customers sitting nearby looked very inviting. The Inn is very well run and a very clean establishment. I enjoyed the drink served in what was a peaceful atmosphere being present at a quiet period. Yes I could recommend this Inn to anyone visiting the Llansamlet area in Swansea.
I don’t usually review, but I’m tired of poor customer service/ experience from places. Had to order on the app because the queue at the bar was so big, even though the place was not that busy. Half the bar was littered with glasses, empty plates, food etc. The waitress constantly walked passed said glasses, plates, waste food, into the kitchen and didn’t look twice to clear! I expect, at the very least, a clean environment to eat food and have a drink, THAT I PAY FOR! Is it not too much to ask?. At one point, a patron of the pub actually started clearing plates and glasses, even using a cloth and spray to clean tables down….. which the waitress duly supplied. Embarrassing. Won’t be going again, ever. 1 star, only because there is no option for zero stars.
A few days ago I’ve stumbled across this diner. The food was amazing, i would highly recommend it to anyone as they have variety of options for different diets. The service, however, was awful. The blonde waitress/ bar manager (in her 30s, I believe her name started with K so Kelly or Kayla) was extremely rude and unfriendly. I do not know if something happened prior to my visit but I shouldn’t be treated that way.
We went for food here on lunch break from work and it was fantastic. The vegetarian option was amazing. The staff were great and the service was quick. Fantastic overall.
