Visited on a Saturday night, place was packed all night, great atmosphere. Excellent live entertainment on, the night I visited Northside Brothers of Soul were on, fantastic soul and Motown music, different band every week here.
It has one of the most relaxing smoking areas in Stockport, and you can occasionally end up having lovely chats with people there — though the staff can be painfully slow to serve people to be honest — even on quieter days
They've created a great little place in a classic pub style. The barmaid was very friendly and the selection of beer/larger/cider was good. It was £9 for two pints of beer so pretty standard price. Overall an excellent experience
I like this bar.... I love the old decorative pieces inside. I'm pretty tipsy to give a full review but it's good 😃
If I could give The Wellington more than 5 ☆ I would! Exterior deceives the eyes to what beholds inside. It's a standard (dare I say drab) black & white exterior but inside is so, so different. Very quirky but enormous time has been taken to source themes to fill the inside. Loads of lovely mirrors, some wonderful old televisions & radios, clocks; the list is endless. It's a big interior so doesn't feel clatered. An assortment of seats; all comfortable. Outside in the patio are some fabulous pub memorabilia; pub signs from other pubs etc. At least 2 real ales on tap🍺 Staff very friendly It's only about 5' minutes easy walk from Stockport railway station. A MUST VISIT
