It was very welcoming, loved the personal touch due to a friend retiring next week, made the table lovely for us. Very attentive and service was very good, only down bit was the menu didn't really cater for my friend who is gluten free, who ended up having curry but quickly returned to kitchen due to naan bread contamination on rice, this was quickly corrected with a new dish brought out. Also my other friend who ordered the chicken, bacon salad didn't get the brown rice, quinoa on her plate either she just had chicken, bacon and spinach on her plate other than that it was lovely and I look forward to returning to u for another meal.x

It was a little quiet for a Saturday night, but it was the second weekend in January, and people are feeling the pinch. All the staff were lovely helpful and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious, the chips were cold, so they gave us a fresh bowl of piping hot ones, not qualms , just apologised, and sorted us out straight away. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have my first choice of meal, or my first choice of pudding, but I honestly, what I chose in the end was delicious and I would definitely recommend. I will definitely be returning in the future!!

Staff were lovely very attentive, service was excellent.. Chicken on mixed grill very dry, advertised as Cumberland sausages and they were like chippy sausages.. especially for the price of the mixed grill you expect top quality produce as it wasn’t cheap.

I can not express how warm a welcoming this pub is ! We was visiting Liverpool and had no where for my son to eat as he’s autistic and very fussy . We walked into the wellington and was looked after my all the staff from the start ! The barmaid even gave my son who is obsessed with floors and rooms a tour of the cellar a function room !! We can’t thank the staff enough for turning a bad day into a lovely afternoon ! The food is lovely too especially the fish and chips xx
