Lovely little cafe. The staff were friendly and helpful. The menu is quite varied for a small cafe. More on the snack side, but their few mains looked lovely. Highly recommend especially after a long walk along the beach.
Friendly staff but full of dogs i ordered what sounded lovely, slow cooked lamb with carrots, celery, and potatoes. It came on a small dish, looked like it had been sitting in the freezer, then into a microwave was so bad I hardly ate any of it, but the dog under the table enjoyed it. It was charged at £10. It's not worth that at all.
We went to the Waves cafe today, just next to Minis bay. We just had 2 sausages and egg sandwich on white bread. The sausages were like cardboard and one was under cooked and the bread was stale. I mean it's not that difficult to cook sausages and eggs to order. Since it's also a B&B. Plus the little glass ramekins that were on the table, dog owners were letting their dogs drink out of them. For us the food was not good and the amount of dogs was unbearable. We won't be returning.
Very nice food. ( only used cafe ) Great location. Always a welcome sight after walking 3 miles. Dog friendly
The staff were lovely and incredibly welcoming and the location was brilliant. If you like cats and dogs this is the place for you, the furry residents are so friendly! Pictured is our favourite resident cat Fizz, who loved cuddles! We did however have some minor issues. The room was lacking some amenities such as a mini fridge and wardrobe(though three back of door hooks were available and understandable given the rooms size). There were no fans or air conditioning either. Food is not served after 3pm and the bar closes at 9pm, which meant we had no way to keep drinks cool for the evening and next morning which was a bit of an issue in the heat! Towels and room were clean however bed sheets had minor stains on them. The sink plug lever also didn't work so we had to remove it to wash our hands, however the shower was lovely. We struggled to get any sleep as the bed wasn't comfortable for us but we are used to a firmer mattress so this was probably personal preference. Unfortunately we waited about 30 minutes for breakfast after ordering a few slices of white toast at the bar and didn't receive it as they had forgotten. However they were extremely apologetic and gave us some bottled water to take on our trip and did offer us some food to be made when we asked (we had to leave shortly after so couldn't accept but appreciated the offer!) The private entrance was lovely to have but the walls were thin so we heard noise from the other rooms. We were awoken to a staff member shouting outside about the lack of staff. Overall our trip was pleasant but the lack of amenities and no breakfast meant the £100 charge for one night was a bit steep. We would have appreciated a small discount given that we never received the breakfast we paid for in the room price but this unfortunately wasn't offered to us. We understand that this was simple human error and probably very rare, and by no means wish to fault the front of house and bar staff who were all lovely!
