The weekends are incredibly busy and we will rarely have bookable tables on the day, Therefore on these days, instead of emailing, it is best to either try calling, or if no answer, which usually means we are very busy, just come along and we will do our best to sit you down as quickly as possible.

We also wanted to take this opportunity to let you know of our current themed nights, promoted on our What's on page! We have Meat-Free Mondays (50% off all Vegetarian and Vegan dishes on the menu), Burger Night Tuesday’s (£12 for any beef, chicken or Vegan burger and a pint), Steak Night Wednesdays (3 cuts of Meat, with a side and a sauce for £16), Thursday is Double Bubble with Nunhead’s best Quiz Night (8pm start), as well as our Cocktail night (£6 selected cocktails available all day and night), Fizz Friday’s (£20 Bottles of Prosecco available all day and night.)

We are also now open Lunch Times on Wednesday’s & Thursdays, as well as Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, to either come for lunch or use as office space, if sick of working from home! Plus Brunch is back! Now available every Saturday from 10:30am until 1pm.

12 of us celebrated 3 family birthdays with Sunday Lunch at The Waverley Arms. This was our first visit to the pub. We received a warm and friendly welcome from staff, we were early for our booked table so we managed to get a seat and a member of staff took our drinks order and bought it over. The pub is large, bright and airy and extremely busy with families enjoying Sunday Lunches. Tables are set very close together. Dogs are also welcome. There is a garden outside. Food was good and flavoursome and staff were attentive to our requirements. Many thanks for making our triple celebration such a success.

We love it here. Staff are friendly and know us by name. Food is yummy. Always happy to swap mash for fries :) Great for my son as they have colouring in and high chairs. My partner loves it because the footie/rugby/golf is on in the background. Then I drink wine and we are all happy 😊

My new fave pub in Nunhead. Really lovely staff and the food is incredible. The roast dinner sells out so I would recommend going early. I would recommend trying to sticky toffee pudding as well as it’s very tasty.

We had a joint 50th birthday party in the function room at the Waverley last Saturday and Douglas and his team did a tremendous job from the moment we dropped in for a pint to look at and book this venue a few months ago. On the day itself all the staff were friendly and helpful and really went out of their way to help make our event go with a swing. Natalia did a fantastic job of keeping the drinks flowing and looked after us all evening. The buffet food we ordered for our group was delicious, lots of options to choose from, hot and cold with something for everyone. There was a great range of beers on tap at the bar including some well kept Guinness, I can also recommend the 'Mermaids Tipple' from the cocktail menu. The space was perfect for our party and I can't recommend this pub highly enough.
