Beautiful food, long wait for carvery line on a Sunday but to be expected, we booked a table and was seated within 10 mins. Well worth it and food was amazing 😍 servers and wait staff were attentive and helpful x Their wasn't a lot of parking but we managed to nab a spot when we saw another family leave, their were a few wheelchair users in the restaurant that were talking to bar staff and were seated at tables having lunch. The toilets are upstairs though not sure if their other options downstairs.
Service was.great, the veg was so overcooked that it was almost water in some cases. I tried to pick up roast potatoes but they just collapsed into mash. It's also not great watching a table being reset without being wiped down. Cutlery sets that hadn't been used were just straightened up.amd left on the table. It's especially worrying when this particular restaurant was pulled up by environmental health for doing the same thing previously. Staff were great For friendliness but it is awful for cleanliness
The greeting staff lovely. They need to clean food away spilled over onto serving counter more regularly. Replace empty food containers away and replenish others including gravy containers timely. Cook veg correctly. Cabbage tasted raw and felt like it had been dipped into water for 5 seconds and dished up for consumption. Had to wait for gravy to be filled up and meal going cold waiting. Had to stop another customer taking cutlery from our table placed for my family.
Sunday lunch. All the staff are friendly & genuinely appear happy. It’s very clean and well kept. A shout out to Ellie who was amazing. She offered to request that the chef cook vegan mash & cauliflower without sauce. When I asked for a vegan meal, she instantly looked at the menu/ingredients at the carvery to inform me of the foods that are vegan. Thanks to the chef for doing that for me too. Above & beyond. Thank you.
We had a lovely meal on Friday night, it was to celebrate two birthdays and we were very well looked after. We had a great table close to the carvery and all the staff were helpful and friendly. Carvery was delicious and the man serving was happy and polite. We never had to wait long for anything, even though it was very busy with Christmas parties. We will definitely be visiting again!
