The food this time was really good, large portions, all very tasty but they forgot my partners Onion Rings that he ordered with his burger. The last time, we’d booked a table and when we got here there wasn’t a member of staff to be seen, the restaurant was absolutely dead, we were the only customers there and we must’ve stood there for about 5-10 minutes before deciding to leave as clearly no member of staff was coming to serve us/show up to the table we’d booked. The first time the food was nice again, but they brought mine out and forgot to bring my partners, so obviously after 20 minutes of waiting for them to bring his food out, mine had gone cold! 🥶 All in all not a fantastic experience, doubt we’ll be returning.
Beautiful surroundings, excellent service with lovely staff. Swift service on starters and main courses. Food nice and hot and plenty of it. Very tasty Christmas dinner. Only criticism would be that room was way too hot. However, we really enjoyed ourselves and will be back next Xmas.
Seen this passing by on the bus, now decided to visit it for lunch, what a good decision it was. Nicely decorated inside, love the music played, hunter's chicken tender cooked, chips done right watered down with some beer and digestive. Here what's on offer, I am ordering dessert now:
Only moved to wales in January and have tried several restaurants, but the watermill never misses! It's a family favourite, and the cowboy burger is always top choice. Plus, it's down the road from ogmore Beach and the Castle. It's a frequent day out for us now, "let's go down to ogmore by sea and stop off at the watermill," Staff are always friendly, and the building itself is lovely. Haven't got many photos unfortunately but we'll going up again tomorrow so will be sure to take some. Brilliant place, brilliant location, brilliant service, and cracking food.
It's such a shame that this has been taken over recently. I've been here a few times when it was with Brains, and the food was really nice. Went yesterday, and I was so disappointed. I had the Cowboy Burger. I really wasn't impressed. The description was burger and cheese with Bacon and crispy shredded iceberg lettuce. Well, there was 1 very small piece of streaky bacon, and the lettuce, it certainly wasn't crisp. I would say more wilted and one the verge of being off than crispy. The burger patties with cheese was the nicest. They were nicely cooked and moist. The Frys were slightly overdone, and they were crispy. The burger dipping sauce was 1000 Island dressing. I'm can say the Watermill I won't be back.
