Stayed here for one night on the 10/12/2023 and everything was perfect, staff are incredible and the food was amazing. Hotel room was clean and comfortable and just what we needed with a lovely view of the lake. The location is stunning, the lake is 10 metres from the front door of the hotel, with some incredible views. If you’re visiting the Lake District then definitely recommend this hotel. 10/10!
I’d give 10 starts if I could from the very 1st step into the hotel the Christmas friendly ambient atmosphere hit us with pleasure , great attentive staff could do enough for us ,they are wonderful and an asset to the water head inn , the room is gorgeous we got a free upgrade as we requested larger room for our travel cot , food is amazing I got the chestnut and parsnip soup twice in a row !! My new craving as I’m pregnant !!! Staff were amazing with our one year old daughter and our dog
We hopped on the boat from Bowness to Ambleside. The inn is only a minute from the pier so was ideal. We only went in for a few drinks and found a lovely table overlooking the lake. The bar area is very spacious and the staff were welcoming and friendly.
We came here for lunch 3 days in a row. Very nice and clean place, freshly renovated. It has its own charm and atmosphere with a beautiful view of the lake. Good service. The food was very tasty and had a great flavor. Delicious coffee and Victoria sponge cake.
Came here for drinks and some food so unable to comment about the rooms for the hotel. Service at the bar was excellent and the Guinness here is poured properly albeit pricey but still poured properly. You get some great views of the lake here and there is ample seating both outside and inside so there's always going to be space available. The food was very tasty as well with great flavour.
