Welcome to the Waterfront, a contemporary bar and restaurant in a fantastic setting right on the waterfront on Plymouth’s Grand Parade! Completely refurbished, the Waterfront is now under the management of established publicans John Milan and Steve Bellman whose portfolio includes the award – winning Pandora Inn in Cornwall.

The Waterfront is a Grade II listed building steeped in maritime history. Formerly the home of the Royal Western Yacht Club, founded in 1827, the Club plays a leading role in the sport of sailing. It introduced short-handed races including the Single-Handed TransAtlantic Race most famously won by Sir Francis Chichester in Gyspsy Moth II.
After being closed by substantial storm damage, the Waterfront is now back and open and thoroughly shipshape again. It has been completely refurbished in a contemporary style with plenty of nautical references and a respectful ‘nod’ to the building’s illustrious past. The Waterfront is a relaxed, stylish venue awash with natural light making the most of its fantastic waterside setting.
Outside, a large decked terrace offers plenty of dining space overlooking the water – a fantastic setting for a drink, lunch or that extra special celebration!.

My work colleagues put on a small birthday gathering for me earlier this month. I found all the staff very helpful and accommodating. The private area we were given was perfect, clean and spacious. The individual food that was ordered was really good portion size and very tasty. Nothing was too much trouble for us! Thank you to everyone involved :)
So good! Good food, beers and wines. Car parking wonderful seafront views and friendly staff. Oh and comfy seating in a sunny place. Go here before considering anywhere else.

Absolutely stunning venue and delicious food! The steak was divine. Mac looked after our large table of 9 on graduation day and did an amazing job. The restaurant went above and beyond with our two graduates with us at the table, offering complimentary champagne and delicious special cocktails as a graduation special. Max was brilliant, funny, and absolutely on the ball. We were all impressed with how he dealt with a table of our size! Very impressed with everything. Definitely will be coming back next time I am in Plymouth! Gives me a reason to see my sister more!
Been here plenty of times, usually just for drinks in the summer in their outdoor seating. Today we had a roast inside, was pleasant, nice decor and fair portions with the food which filled us up. 😊
