Incredibly expensive. Not a fan of the new seating, feels more closed off, bit of a yuppy bar now. Couldn't believe what we paid for 3 drinks. 1 pale ale, half a Budvar and one amaretto and cola set us back 17.65 (we're in Stockton, not Canary Wharf). And cash only, which they didn't tell us till the drinks were being poured... It was much better before the refurb. Wouldn't go back.
Very nice and tidy inside, staff are lovely, but make sure you take out a bank loan for the drinks, the first pub that we went in cost £16 for 6 drinks, went in this micro bar and it cost £35 for 6 drinks. Charged us £24 and then came back for another £11 because they said they hadn't put on the Prosecco and the wine, absolutely taking people's eyes out, look at all my other reviews about other pubs in Stockton and Whitby just to see that I put fair comment to all.
Fabulous food, enjoyed it. Thanks guys x
It is a good pub/bar. I'd say this is a pub for more of the trendy people/hipsters. You won't find any mainstream lagers/ales at this place. I paid £3.90 for my pint which is dead expensive compared to everywhere else. The place itself reminds me of the pubs I used to drink at in Newtown, Sydney, Australia. The staff were friendly and I noticed they were very helpful for other clientele coming in.
A fantastic new bar that has great atmosphere and a wide selection of ales, beers and spirits. With a modern but cozy interior it is the perfect place for a few quiet drinks. Saying that live music events are often on bringing an extra dimension to this micro pub. The outdoor seating is a great addition, especially for the warm Summer months.
