Umm... what to say... it's a proper dive bar, only open when everything else shuts. But it's kinda great
Expensive and not worthy of the price you pay, just being honest. I mean £3.90 for a can or beer..say no more
Midas has a unique status in so far as it is open late every night of the week, which means it is the ONLY bar open very late for much of the week. It might not have the best drinks range, but it remains competitively priced. It's not huge, but it has a dancefloor and a small outside area. It's unique position in the market means it attracts people from all walks of life who wish to have a late night.
What a joke! Not even worth the star! Charging to get in after hours, toilets with no loo roll & a totally filthy & dirty inviroment altogether, health & saftey issues galore! And the owner is ill mannered & just plain rude! The place should be condemned, never again!
Me and 8 friends arrived here last night- midas has always been free entry when we go there. It wasn't busy, 6 of us go straight in while me and a friend chat outside for a few minutes. They head to the bar and aren't asked to pay, a few minutes later the last of us go in and they demand £3 per person. Its not any later really than when the other 6 went in so we asked why we were being charged?! They didn't have a straight answer so can only assume it was because the bouncer just likes fleecing the clientele. We all left, probably costing the bar a few hundred quid, went elsewhere- and will never return. Midas what's your policy on bouncers forcing cash out of customers for no reason?!
