The Moat House is situated on A435 in Kings Coughton, on the outskirts of Alcester. We are close to M42 (J.3 9 miles), M40 (J.15 11 miles). Stratford Upon Avon is less than fifteen minutes drive and we are only three miles from Ragley Hall and one mile from Coughton Court.
The Moat House Inn serves grills, steaks from our wood fired oven and authentic Italian pizzas. And of course, we offer all the other delicious food and drink you’ve come to expect from a lovely pub.
In light of the changes to the government legislation from Monday 19th July, we have taken the decision to continue to promote a safe environment for our customers and our teams.
Many of the current guidelines will remain in place; we will continue to be respectful of our customer’s space, tables will remain distanced and we will encourage table service wherever possible.
We will be encouraging our team to continue to wear facemask whilst serving and all our hand sanitizer stations will be in operation for your convenience. Our screens will also always be available at your request if you would like to use them.
From the 19th of July you are not required to wear a mask when you visit us but it would be appreciated to help protect our team and other customers.

Lovely decor and atmosphere. Friendly staff and food was excellent. We both had the Fish & Chips which was good quality and portion size with nice crispy batter and moist fish. I'll definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone. Also good parking and easy access.
Visited Christmas Eve with friends & despite the pub being full of customers the staff did their utmost to find us a table where we could enjoy a Christmas drink. The bar staff even remembered our drinks order each time we went to the bar. Amazing venue, staff & service. Extremely impressed 👏
Absolutely amazing! We joined a party of 20 in the Gun Room last night - we were blown away! The food was absolutely exquisite - check out the scallops! - but the service! Omg! The most delightful young man, Taylor, his attention to detail, his smile… he absolutely made our night! Be assured though, it wasn’t just Taylor, the whole team made us feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble - I highly recommend x
A really good atmosphere out in the garden over a summer's day, The service is also good and the food was lovely, I had the fish and chips and also the nachos and garlic bread board to start, a decent choice of beers including madri, Estrella and peroni.
Stopped here for dinner as staying in the area, and so glad we did! Lovely pub inside and out! The staff are all friendly and helpful! And the pizza’s are amazing! We got a normal and one gluten free, and it was the best gluten free pizza I’ve had!
