10/03/2013 Bitterly disappointed with Carvery and dessert!
    • 3.0
    — Following a nice lunch a few weeks ago, we came to try the cavery and left with the intention not to return. We were given the smallest cuts of meat, a teaspoon of stuffing (which I did not even get!) a small portion of greasy roast potatoes and then offered carrots, cabbage, peas and gravy. All of which were tasteless and watery. This was basically a poor sunday roast, a carvery is a variety of meats and vegetables with wholesome flavours to choose from to fill you up. Following the tasteless meal, we all ordered apple crumble with custard. What arrived can only be described as apple sponge with congealed custard. No crumble topping we were all looking forward to, just slosh in a bowl. A truly really terrible meal, which can only be compared to a motorway service station.
