The Walton Arms is an impressive brick structure with tall decorated chimneys and stone mullion windows. Above the grand central entranceway is an interesting mock Tudor-style frontage which greets the visitor. Built in 1800 some fate must have befallen this mighty inn as it was rebuilt in 1875. At the turn of the century it served as a halt for horse-drawn buses.
Our menus are full of hearty favourites and country pub classics, as well as our seasonal spring dishes, and we’ll be ready with a well-stocked bar, including cask ales, fine wines and British gin to suit very taste - which will taste all the better when enjoyed either in our beautiful gardens or by our crackling log fires.

I’ve been going to The Walton Arms for many years. But late last year I was diagnosed with coeliac disease. Post diagnoses I must say that I am even more impressed with them. In particular Rachel the new assistant manager! She is incredibly friendly and takes the time to make sure that as a diner with coeliac disease that I am safe! She ensures that my food is perfect, talks me through how to use the glass onion app to select safe food menu items. Unfortunately the glass onion app isn’t always accurate but Rachel always double checks that the preparation of the food is coeliac safe and that I am happy with the food when it comes out. She told me she is new to the team and I honestly feel that she is a great addition. On my last visit I had their sea bass and it really was delicious!
Had the Beetroot and Pumpkin seed Arancini for a starter and the Honey Pot for pudding (Buttermilk chicken for main which was fantastic). Both the starter and desert were on a whole other level. The presentation was fantastic without being pretentious at all and the taste was absolutely incredible. Perfect balance of sweet and savory for both dishes. For being a simple unsuspecting pub, the food is exceptional.

Amazing food with friendly and helpful staff. Both had a fabulous meal yesterday sat outside in the sunshine. Brilliant! Had the sea bass (gluten free). Delicious. Many thanks to Gaz (head chef)
Very cozy and comfortable inside, lovely decor and ambiance. Spaceous parking, so no need to worey about that. They offered 2 and 3 course meals, which was good and priced decently, taste of the food was good. Our kids loved their food as well. They accepted blue light discount card which was amazing. Staff was spot on and very friendly. If we go by that direction we'd be visiting again
