I always try a place 3 times before making my mind up. Being honest 1st 2 times were not the best but not the worst by far. Today attempt number 3. Food quality massively improved. Service not a bad word to say about the customer service everyone today was friendly, courteous and very helpful. Had at least 3 'hello's'. no wait for a table and seated with a smile. Que at the bar but still seen quickly. Only down side to our mains was kids sausage appeared to have been finished in a merry chef, and there wasn't enough sauce (for me) on the loaded chicken strips. Partners carvery was hot, properly cooked and tasty but the carver just needs a little more practice (I know I'm being picky here). Value for money 5* Customer service 5* Food quality .... considering the cost pretty good to be fair a few small tweaks would take it from 4.5 to 5 when you factor the cost into it.
First time at here and it was really lovely . Food excellent. Service great . Staff nice just Couldn’t fault it . Rachael the duty manager was lovely, friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back for such a great carvery ….. the cakes looked awesome but too full up to try
I am absolutely disgusted with my food and service of this place!!! I Ordered Smothered chicken for dinner and got a few chips, disgusting corn on the cob looking like it was a week old, chicken and bacon was smelly and soggy. Missing items such as coleslaw and mushroom sauce as far as I remember and no salad at all. When I spoke to a lady and explained the whole situation. Unfortunately she wasn't very interested with what I said. I'm a customer for many years now and never been treated so disrespectfully by the staff. Basically she didn't care about anything as long as I paid. I will never come back to this place after I've been treated by the staff like that.
Good honest roast carvery serving up exactly what was advertised. The pub itself is lively, very family orientated throughout a Sunday serving and certainly not a place for those who are looking for some peace and quiet but that isnt a bad thing as the vibe was friendly. Service was friendly and prompt, pleasantly suprising considering how busy the place was. Servings are plentiful, the vegetable pie was a tad dry but was the only criticism we could have.
Great friendly staff. Just as considerate/helpful customers (helped take drinks to our table) great value for money. Wonderful new play area. Choice to book table in surrounding part of play area. Staff were so helpful, we couldn't have asked for better service. Really really impressed. Great pub, well thought out.
