Situated just off the bustling Piccadilly district, this old but attractive building stands quietly tucked away amid the modern office blocks to lure passers-by in.
The interior though is of more modern times, yet it gives a feel of provenance with wainscoted walls and a match-boarded ceiling. Mainly open plan (which seems to amplify the piped music), screened-off seating areas (some with sofas) afford some privacy to those wishing it. Can become busy when televised football is on.

Doesn't have sky sports (at time of visit), worst still was showing MUTV and racing channel... Like a poor bookies. Better than nothing real ale choice, but pint pulled with the finesse of a cart horse.
The food is nice. But they made me pay before I had my food and afterwards the just ignored me so… and I paid for 2 extra eggs and I got 1 …
Found this when looking for somewhere to have a quick lunch. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, staff were friendly and the food was delicious. Next time I am near the railway station I will definitely pop in again and I would definitely recommend it.
It was brilliant!!! The patron is lovely and the food and atmosphere was much better than expected!!! Fantastic British draft ales, and a great selection of lagers too. Great to watch football!!!
Nice pub, friendly staff and good food in a great location (not far from the station). Veggie burger available which is good to see. Sports on TV but also good music in background.
