About us

Vroni’s first opened in the hot summer of 1995. Named after a mountain top ski bar in the Austrian Alps, Vroni’s inspiration was to provide Glasgow with a genuine wine bar with quality and choice as its main aims.

After 25 successful years it has become, without any doubt, Glasgow's premier wine bar. Ask any Glaswegian where to get a great of glass of wine and Vroni’s will be at the top of their list.

We provide a welcome escape from the busy streets of Glasgow. Tucked away in West Nile Street we can be lost, but more importantly found!! Our signature green awnings filter the harsh summer rays (when we get them) to provide a romantically lit, intimate and discreet atmosphere that other venues strive to achieve.

We constantly aspire to source great value wines to ensure that our selection is at the forefront of the ever changing global wine market. New world wines will always be confronting old world wines at Vroni’s-we love the challenge of keeping ahead of our loyal customers taste buds!.

Very nice interior and atmosphere. They had a nice selection of wines by the glass and of those I tried they displayed good typicity! My only gripe would be the red wine I ordered was too warm, on the other hand I had a glass of white which was served at an appropriate temp(aka not from the fridge like a beer) and was very enjoyable

Friendly and welcoming staff. Great selection of wines and bubbly. Darkly lit atmospheric wine bar one of my favourite places in glasgow to have a glass or two.

Had some great wine, but no where near as much as you might expect, and it's mostly overpriced. Staff were a mixed bag. Great when the place was quiet and pretty awful as it got busy. Even got accused of scaring other patrons because I simply asked some people standing next to me at the bar how they were getting on. Pretty gross honestly. Will not be back.

We enjoyed four very nice glasses of red wine here around a meal at another eatery. Food from here needs to be booked in advance. We wanted to try a range, so ordered four different glasses and shared them between us. They were very reasonably priced (£5-9) but all very enjoyable.

Little gem amongst bars. Elegant interior filled with hundreds of bottles of wine and champagne. Dark wood fittings and features. Lively crowd of any age. Tasty cocktails, massive selection of beers, wines and nibbles. Fantastic place worth visiting
