We went there for a Sunday roast and the food tasted microwaved and days old. We didn't finish it so had to look elsewhere for food to fill us up. We ordered water and there was some sort of black sludge on the glass. The locals at the bar were so loud and swearing a lot (we were there with a child). The var staff almost ignored us when we cane in and focused on the locals. Wouldn't ever go back.

Right in the middle of wellington, really friendly and nice old pub atmosphere. Food was excellent on both occasions we visited, not sure why I can’t rate the food because it was great.

We visited this unassuming little pub on Sunday 10th September because it came up as dog friendly always important in my as you may be aware. What an absolute little gem ! The food was Sunday lunch 2 beef and lamb and veg nut roast. It was served on the plate (as apposed to carvery the plate was full and the food was well cooked and piping hot. At £11.00 it's not overpriced. Annie and Lauren are brilliant hosts. We went back on Tuesday 12th and had lunch home cooked ham and chips and 3 bean chilli. Again lovely well cooked food. At £10.50 a portion well worth the money. Annie and Lauren have a great relationship with the locals and obviously know their customers well Well done ladies you run a clean and orderly pub wil definitely use you agai
