The Vines is based on Lime Street, Liverpool, better know as the BIG HOUSE.
Glorious, venerable old city pub 🍻. Many wonderful wood-panelled rooms. Open fires and candles. Nice pint of Titanic Plum Porter. Friendly, helpful staff. Nothing not to like.
We've been meaning to go and have a look inside for ages and we finally made it. Got to share some good information with a guy who was in Liverpool for the day. We had time to kill before checking into our accommodation for the evening so it was an opportune moment as we hopped off the train at Lime Street station just after lunch. An interesting building with a good number of different rooms, but it doesn't really compare with the Philharmonic Dining Rooms, so wherever I read that weren't quite truthful methinks. As far as I'm aware accommodation isn't available here anymore.
Great old pub with renovated grandeur. This visit was busy and bustling. Didn't wait too long for service. As it Christmas, the decorations and tree were gorgeous and there were candles adding atmosphere. The music was decent too.
PARADISE RESTORED This always was the best pub in town then it fell on hard times. A delight. Beer brilliant and well kept. Back room re-opened. Real fires ….Off scale Victorian Gin Palace. Stunning.
Boss pub. Fantastic building with so many original features - something to see everywhere you look - the big room is epic! Usually a warm fire in the Winter. Lovely mood lighting and candles at night. Nice vibe and right by both train stations of you need to shoot off quickly. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed. Looks like a piece of history. One of my new faves.
