Never a bad meal from here. Friday night tea most weeks. Enjoy the batter on the fish - before now, batter from other shops has been greasy and I've been unwell, so don't return - no problems here 😁👍
Friendly staff, good and timely service, hot and tasty food. I ordered Philly cheese steak sandwich was big portion plate the only down side for me is that the meat was plain no salt at all (have to keep adding salt to every bite and I do not eat much salt to be honest) but properly cook to your liking, the chips were hot and crunchy, salad was fresh but did not have any dressing, maybe a suggestion will be on a side a simple olive oil, salt pepper and a dash of vinegar mix for it will make a difference. my other party ordered steak and ale pie again really hot, good size portion, he said is one of the best steak and ale pie he had in a long time. we did not manage to get any tea after this meal.
Great food and friendly staff, definitely worth a visit.
Got there at 4pm on sunny Easter Monday. It wasn't busy then. Our foods were well cooked and presented with good price. We enjoyed the food and service. Lots of free parking nearby. However, only a few tables outside at the front.
I absolutely love this pub for a quick lunch or a celebration meal. The food is always delicious and the portion sizes are massive. The creamy garlic chicken is one of my favourite meals here
