Been here twice, I'll honestly describe both experiences. First time I came here, the music was blaring like a music concert, it was ridiculous and it was this inaudible heavy metal nonsense that the regulars somehow enjoyed. We sat down on the ripped, torn and worn seating. The pub itself was quite empty if you didn't include the regulars. The entire pub, frankly, smelt like actual urine - it was disgusting. The regulars congested around the pool table, as if they were claiming it, and gave you a very dodgy look if you even beckered an eye towards "their table." Me and my pals ordered a pint, and watched how all the dodgy regulars screamed and shouted like total nutcases over the heavy metal music. We didn't even share a word while drinking our stale (bottom of the barrel) pint. At the end of the night, I tried using their bathroom, yeah, tried ... I entered their male toilets and it was like a secondary school bathroom. Graffiti, urine on the floor, wallpaper falling off, flashing lights and ripped posters. The highlight of the toilet was the hanging toilet seat. Going on a pub crawl in Dumfries ? Stroke this pub off your list ... DO NOT come here for a pint. It's a dodgy pub.
Cheap drink but a total dump. Ripped seating. Outside space ok until a drunk local sits on the adjacent table and spits his phlegm every other minute. Won't be back.

This is not a nice pub... staff unfriendly, punters unwelcoming of tourists... we went for the karaoke which wasn't up to much.... my partner was interested in the pool... the regs in there don't like it if you use 'THEIR' pool table... we had to leave after one drink!!! The drinks are cheaper... but really not worth it for this atmosphere.
Went with my dad, Tich, years ago when I was a teenager. Dad used to call this place Jurassic Park but I thought it was alright
