Decent prices, place is clean and the service is good. Football on the big screen in the garden too
Bit enclosed and dingy. Staff a bit abrupt but alright, ok place if you just want a quick drink though. Obviously has it's regular locals so you feel a bit like you've just walked into a bar in a western when you first walk in. not a bad place if you know people there or just want a quick drink.
I've been to the Vic many times over the years and you know what to expect if you're a local or at least a resident in the area, I hadn't been for a couple of years and it's still the same pub, next to no atmosphere which was surprising as it was a Saturday night, drink prices on the higher end but I guess it's hove prices, not a pub I'd stay in for lo ger than a couple of hours.
I’ve played here now for the 4/5 Saturdays and what a shame it’s been. The course and layout itself is fantastic and I recommend anyone to try it. But it seems the green staff don’t work Saturdays as the bunkers were in a bit of mess and the greens were slightly bobbly and fluffy but were still in a relative good condition. The course was still in very good condition and considering the weather it held up superbly but it was a shame as the little attention to detail let in down in certain aspects but again I would recommend it to play and I imagine the summer it would be lovely to play.
Straightforward, clean, friendly pub, big on sports, with reasonably priced drinks. No food, no frills. What pubs used to be like - until gentrification took over!
