A refurbished 17th Century Grade II listed country pub, restaurant and hotel in the heart of Cheshire.
The Vicarage is positioned in a beautiful Cheshire Setting, 5 minute’s walk from the village of Holmes Chapel, on the A50 heading north. We are conveniently located for easy access to the North West and Manchester Airport and are just 1 mile from Junction 18 of the M6 motorway. We are also just one mile from Holmes Chapel train station, which has direct links to/from Crewe, Manchester and Manchester Airport.

Went to see Santa, which was excellent. Awful after that, waited half an hour for waitress to take our order, then 45 minutes for it to come - 1 adult first, 2 kids 40 minutes, then last adult 30 minutes later after that!! I'd finished my meal before the other 3 came piecemeal. Couldn't make it up considering how upscale the place purports to be! Careful on the narrow car park - it wraps around the building and is tailor-made for bumps and scratches.
Came for a Christmas meal with some friends and we had a lovely evening. The service was friendly and attentive - Elena, Cat and Nicola were super so big thanks to them. The Christmas decorations and decor really create a cosy and festive atmosphere. For such an old building it is very well looked after which definitely added to the experience.
We had a fantastic afternoon tea for our anniversary. Later in the evening we had a roast dinner too. The food is excellent and can't be faulted. The cocktails are delicious and the staff are welcoming and attentive. You'll definitely see us again.
Really enjoyed my short stay at this small pub/hotel. Spotlessly clean, really nice rooms and lovely staff. A great veggie breakfast, too. So much nicer than most hotels, good value too. I'll be back!
We really enjoyed an overnight stop at The Vicarage on our way to the Lakes. Room was really well appointed, much more interesting decor than a sterile Travelodge room whilst still being clean. Good selection of tea and coffee; nice powerful shower with good quality toiletries. Breakfast was really nice too, freshly cooked with good ingredients and a continental buffet. We tried the bar in the evening as well which was good, lots of different seating areas and cozy. On the whole we felt looked after by the staff and had a great stay.
