The white painted brickwork of this pub stands out from its neighbouring buildings. There is roadside seating to the front and a small patio and beer garden to the rear. The interior has been opened up into a single room with a games area to the left and the bar on the right. The regular Pedigree is joined by two other beers from the Marston's range, often Hobgoblin or Sunbeam. To the rear of the bar is a passageway that leads to the function room, which is home to their Folk and Acoustic Club every Tuesday evening (Entrance is one pound for performers and two pounds for audience).
Brilliant night here at the Vernon on Tuesday... they had a quiz night which was great fun. Amazing free food too. Good quality beer that was a reasonable price. Lovely clean, fun, warm atmosphere and the staff were amazing ..defs going again
We had a 40th Birthday at the Vernon. Great service from the staff, drinks reasonably priced. All round great night! Thank you!! Definitely recommend.
Had the mothers 60th here and the staff were very accommodating throughout booking it, preparation on the day and then the night itself. Couldn’t have asked for more 👍

Vernon Arms is a great village pub. A room at the back for parties, plenty of outdoor space and indoor. No catering. Such a friendly pub. Staff were great.
