Although it was busy on arrival the staff were friendly and welcoming, taking the time to show us to our table. The atmosphere was warm and cosy. Plenty of room between tables so didn't feel overcrowded. We ordered the carvery which was served with freshly cooked veg. The staff were very professional and attentive. We will definitely return.
Collected a takeaway from here the other months and was sold on its burgers! Been back a few times now with family and friends wanting to share the experience as we only live 15 mins away and never knew of the great little pub! Today me and my partner ordered a large roast and the veggie chicken roast. Marty (I believe the chef was called) was lovely whilst serving, and offered to have my veggie chicken delivered to table as it would take a little longer. The food was spectacular for the price! We loaded our plates with the self serve veg, roasties, mash and sauces! Picked up a Xmas menu, think we will come back for the 3 course meal, highly recommend!!
We just went for a dessert the staff were frendly and we only had to wait 5 minutes. The only one thing I can say is the toilets are not well signed and once I did ask what way to go I wasn't sure if I was going in the toilets or the kitchen, the lady on the table next to us had the same problem other than that we will definitely go again x
Called in again, and had the bacon cheeseburger, this time. It was fantastic. My wife had the pizza made to order not frozen. On my last visit, I had the carvery, it was good value and tasty, but the best part of the set meal was the dessert, had the sweet Belgian waffle, which was delicious cannot recommend this highly enough the dessert was just £1.99 extra but I would have paid £6 or £7 for just that. Great place for food at a reasonable price.
Staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was very nice, and reasonably priced. All meat at the carvery looked delicious, went for beef and gammon and was not disappointed!! Plenty of trimmings. Would definitely come back again (and will).
