We're a real part of the local community, proud to help fundraise for charities and offer our function area free of charge to locals and groups.

We're local to Hebburn, Benton & Jarrow, so whether you're up for a party, watching sport, meeting with friends and family or just relaxing and taking the time to unwind, Anson is the pub putting the sizzle in Wallsend.

Our function room is available for free if you're having a do but we're also only too happy to let local non-profit organisations and groups use it completely free of charge for meetings and events. Just ask at the bar or call us on 0191 262 3012 for details.

We went to the anson on Tuesday for a meal for a friends birthday (all oldies) there was 11 of us the staff we lovely and the food arrived hot and in good time I highly recommend the fish and chips,, Tom the manager looked after us well and was very friendly also the lad Adam who was on the bar was super too thanks lads will definitely be back

Fantastic place to watch sport as the atmosphere is always electric. They have the best pool table and dart board on the high street. Food is top notch and the staff are amazing and so helpful. Great to see the assistant manager back behind the bar serving a great variety of drinks been a big miss!!!

Service with a smile! The staff member, I didn’t catch her name, had be laughing while I ordered my food, chatting away about Elf (the movie!) Food was hot and tasty, and the vibe was nice and cosy.
