The landlord Geoff is a well known local character who works with his local community, providing meals for the elderly, teaching kids fishing and a great social hub for anyone of any ages. Not many pubs out there still have a traditional atmosphere that makes going for a pint into a showcase event, offering entertainment cheap beer and great laughs
What a lovely historic nautical pub. Really chatty and helpful landlord. The inside has so many impressive nautical themes including a large collection of sailing ship models and seafaring items. I highly recommend a visit to The Welcome Inn to enjoy the ambience.

Sunday afternoons are brilliant at this place. A lovely spacious outdoor area with loads of seating and live bands on every week. You get served quickly at your table by the friendly staff as well, unlike a lot of other bars doing table service these days. It's becoming a regular spot for a few of us. I haven't sampled the food yet but will be the next time we visit.
