About us

The Maggy Bank is so called due to its former days as a bank; it then became a social club before being converted into a pub. The pub is now a popular music venue, with free live music every Friday and Saturday.
The name "Magnesia" derives from the Magnesia Stair, one of the crowded streets of houses that led down to the riverside, which was south of the current pub near the present day stairs.

Live bands on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Brilliant customers who are a big family now and the Tracy, Kayleigh and Nicole are just lovely people. Brilliantly run place.

Great to see the Maggie open and doing well. Decent selection of beers, nice staff and a canny band on for a Friday night out. We'll be returning soon.

Great Live music pub, always a good night here if you enjoy watching bands. This place always has a great crowd and it's guaranteed good fun once it gets going. The kind of place you go to and stay for the whole evening.

Great upstairs function room with a really well stocked bar... The main bar downstairs is spacious and has live entertainment at least 4 days a week
