Looking for something to share with friends with a glass of our new Casillero del Diablo Shiraz Rosé wine, then look no further. We all went for tea (family of 4), each member had a different meal, all 3 courses were fabulous. All plates clean 😁 food 5 star and the staff 5 stars also. The staff were very attentive, James and Natalie went above and beyond. Thank you for our pleasant evening, can't wait to come back..
Food: Nothing was wrong as such....just really cheap food so I suspected the quality was going to be just ok. I'd rate it 2.5 if I could. Staff were nice when we were there on an early Friday evening. It was busy with lots of locals having some after work drinks and food. It's never on my list of places I'd want to visit to eat but my wife wanted to go as she said it's not too bad. I'd forgotten my previous visit so just agreed. Edit... I'm just rating the food here so probably being a bit harsh with my rating. You have to think that not every place is going to be 5 star as the quality of the food would have to be much higher. I'll change it to 3 stars given that the atmosphere and staff were good.
We went on Thursday night for food and the quiz, great atmosphere and a good quiz and the best Gammon I've had for a while, they have a good collection of guest ales. We were shocked when we got the bill, the entire family meal cost the same as a recent meal at McDonald's, we expected it to be much more. We were served by Katie she was very pleasant and efficient. Highly recommended.
Has the chef been changed recently because the food and menu has improved massively, lovely food, decent pint, nice place to be 😁.
Good pub grub. Price is decent. We had a bit of a wait for the food. But the atmosphere was good and the staff were friendly. I had the pie. Wife had all day brunch. They have pensioner and kid deals too. I come back home from abroad every few years and always come here with the oldies.
