Traditional pub on Percy Street opposite the Haymarket. Cracking ales, wines etc. TV sport and music. Atmosphere on match day has to be seen to be believed!

This place makes the BEST toastie I've ever had. I had the chorizo and cheddar and mouthwatering goodness. The beer selection was incredible with cider and beer on tap. Fully stocked bar but what really made it over the top special was the atmosphere and friendly staff . Great place to chill. Have a conversation or close a business deal. I wish I lived in Newcastle full time so I could make this place a main hangout .
I've been to The Hotspur twice, both times for a pint and a snack. My first experience was a home made pizza, which was so tasty and very reasonably priced. Today I returned to the Hotspur and had a toastie. I was a little disappointed at first, as I had wanted a pizza again, but they were unavailable. The smile was put back on my face when my food was served. Toasted stottie with cheese and chilli con carne and a side serving of jalapeno jam. It was amazing 😍😍 Again great value and service.
Nice pub! Good atmosphere and service! Before Newcastle matchs, it’s very busy so you have to come early if you want a seat.
What a lovely place for a beer while walking around central Newcastle. Quiet, cosy interior and covered in flowers outside. And the ladies bathrooms were probably the best and cleanest pub bathroom I’ve ever been in. Keep it up :-)
Pretty place with a nice atmosphere. Pint was a bit flat but maybe it’s just my bad choice of larger!
