The Diamond Inn is a traditional style pub that serves proper pub grub, Real Ale, and good booze. We have 12 en suite bedrooms and an exclusive function room located upstairs.
Established in the early 1700's as an old coaching Inn, the much loved public house has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment.

How to ruin a perfectly good traditional pub. Went down on Boxing Day for a couple of pints. Bouncers on the door, plastic glasses, possibly the worst pint I have had and no festive selection anymore, ridiculously loud music and full of drug fuelled teenagers ( 2 blokes came out of one of the cubicles with rolled up notes, sniffing and thanking each other) . It is now like a bar in town and has been totally ruined by the new owners. What a shame
We had an overnight stay here. The room was well presented, clean and comfortable. One observation was that we heard other guests entering the location via the communal entrance. The breakfast in the morning was a choice of cereal, pastries and fruit. I would have liked a cooked option. Another tip is to remember to register your car at the bar when parking to avoid a possible fine.
I’m a regular here and it’s always been a good village pub. A lot of people complaining about the parking situation. I forgot to register my car recently and got a fine. Contacted the pub and they immediately got in touch with the 3rd party responsible and got the ticket cancelled with no hassle at all. Thanks again guys.
Great party held up stairs. Friendly staff, drinks not expensive. But it was so hot as no windows seemed to open and even with the rear door open it was absolutely boiling hot. Good place for a party but definitely needs some way of letting air through when full.
Great atmosphere and ambience. Staff were welcoming and friendly. A good variety of beers and drinks on offer. The rooms were very clean with excellent facilities. Good value for money I would highly recommend the Diamond Inn.

Your traditional pub grub PLUS all the favorites from around the world! Like Thai Green Curry, Mexican Chicken Wraps and Chicken Tikka Masala. We also have special nights on during the week: Monday = Burger Night, Tuesday = Curry Night, Wednesday = Fish Night, and Thursday = Steak Night! On top of all that we do a HUGE Sunday roast between 11 - 3:30 every week! If you're booking a function with us we can also provide your catering. The Blackbird Inn is back in it's rightful place as the centre of the Ponteland community after a complete but tasteful refurbishment. Oozing with history and atmosphere this 13th century stone tower house is firmly back on the map.
