Nestled under an arch in the Ouseburn Valley, perfect to enjoy a drink and traditional Indian street food in the stylish bar & tap room or outside under the shelter of the arch around our fire pit!
Arch2 Brewpub and Kitchen on Stepney Bank contributes to the growing Artisan and Creative atmosphere of the Ouseburn.
Converted from an old tyre garage under Byker road bridge, the arch now hosts a bar/tap room, undercover beer garden together with a micro-brewery and Indian street food kitchen.
Newcastle Brewing Ltd, run by son and father team Leo and Mike Bell, brew a wide range of flavourful beers including Blondes, Pale Ales, IPAs, Brown Ales, Saisons and Porters with some unique and innovative additions on the premises. There are always 10 taps of fresh beers, lagers and ciders, plus a range of wines and spirits.
Feel free to ask for a taste before you buy and our passionate staff will be happy to tell you a little about our beers.

A nice atmosphere inside this pub. We had bottled beers so can't comment on what they serve on tap. There were 2 live music acts on while we were there... Both up our street so that kinda made the day for us. I was very disappointed in the food though! To the point I'd suggest it was dangerously undercooked! I got a double burger (choice was double or triple!). And 1 of the 2 burgers was totally pink inside and both were lukewarm. It came in a basket with chips, which were fine, but the bun was soggy also. I really should have handed it back, but didn't feel like that wud be appreciated by the young staff members. It was only 'lining' grub for us, but at the prices being charged the standard was really poor. Wud never eat here again even though I'll likely visit for the music!
The new location for the legendary "Billy Bootlegger's", absolutely fantastic and can't wait to go back for more, hopefully catch a band in there, fingers crossed for the late licence
Was a little bit tucked out the way, but was a little gem. Great selection of beer, food was solid and the music selection was fab. We sat by the fire pit most of the evening and drank the night away. Worth a visit!
Lively brewpub that shares a space with Indian food outlet Thali Tray next door. You can order food and drink from both places to consume at the same table. Good range of beers on keg, (mainly their own with a guest on my visit) and in the fridge. No cask which is a bit of a shame. If you scan the QR code on tables you can view the menu to be able to see the full range, but order at the bar as occasionally the menu is not fully up to date as to whether something has gone out of stock.
The best beer I've ever tasted is brewed and sold in this awesome little gem in the Ouseburn. Cosy by the fire & enjoy the delicious array of beers brewed by @newcastlebrewing unfined & unfiltered joy in a glass. Come rain or shine this place is definitely worth a visit.
