I was there for the first time with the family from the USA but we know Jamaican food. Unfortunately the ribs were not available on that day just after Christmas but we took advantage of the 2 for one cocktails which were good. The service from the adorable Prissy & Ana was bubbly warm, friendly and funny. They did their best to accommodate our little extra wishes & to make sure we felt almost at home. The next time we’re back in the UK we will definitely be going to Turtle Bay 😋
Best Turtle Bay I've been to. The food and drinks were delicious with great service. Top marks also for cleanliness- no sticky tables and crusty sauce bottles here! Made me realise how grotty my closest one is (Bath!)
First time visiting Turtle Bay. Before going I've been given a mixture of reviews about the place. I can honestly say it was a bit of hit and miss for me personally. Though the cocktails were amazing I will be definitely coming back for the drinks. Even better they had a 2 for one offer on the cocktail. Kinda wish it was applied to the mocktails also as they were tasty to. The food was nice but if you're expecting proper authentic Carribbean food it wasn't it. Though the dishes were good it tasted more like a Carribbean fusion as the dishes are inspired by them. But didn't give me true taste of the Carribbean. I had ordered the salt fish fritters which was partnered with pineapples. Which initially I thought was odd but when I paired them together was interesting and took the edge of the saltiness of the fritter. Which was nice. Though the sweet chilli sauce added on top was a bit much for me personally. The main I ordered the fried fish which was crispy salmon. I've never had salmon cooked this way which was nice but I felt it was under seasoned. Overall it was alright experience and reasonably priced. Though I felt the service could've been a bit better. When we arrived the first waiter said they would give us a menu and she never returned. Which resulted us to ask another server. Also the food took a while to come out. I would return but more for the drinks than the food. But glad I've experienced it,
My recent visit to Turtle Bay in Milton Keynes was an absolute delight! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. A perfect reggae soundtrack added to the ambience. The menu was bursting with fresh Caribbean-inspired dishes that had my taste buds tingling with excitement. And to top it off, it was Happy Hour, which meant 2-4-1 cocktails - what a treat! I decided to try the 'Fish Fry' and boy, was I blown away! The crispy salmon was cooked to perfection and the coconut fried squid was simply divine. But the real stars of the show were the cocktails - the 'Koko Kolada' and 'One Love' were my absolute favourites. As a pineapple lover, these drinks were the perfect blend of sweet and refreshing. Overall, I would highly recommend Turtle Bay to anyone looking for a delicious meal and a great time. The food, drinks, and atmosphere were all top-notch and I can't wait to go back for more!
First time having Caribbean food. It is simply delicious! Upon arrival the music was festive, the staff were energised and I was in time the 2 for 1 cocktails. One Love became double trouble very quickly. Thanks guys for a really groovy meal and experience.
