Lovely little pub, full of history. Seems to be where the locals go. Great service and very reasonably priced. I have been here a few times over the years and will always pop in when on holiday nearby.
Excellent atmosphere, friendly people,would be my local if I lived here I will be back. When we came out it was snowing heavy, loved it. Forgot to mention open coal fire,if your passing Alston and you like an old worldly pubs then this is a must.
