Myself my partner and two friends had a lovely meal here on Friday night.Tje service was excellent. Food was very tasty too. Around 9 ish a band started setting up.They were called Gulity pleasure and they were brilliant. We all had a great night. Highly recommend this place
Lovely Christmas set lunch. Very popular choice as lots of others there. Very nice food and good value. Would definitely go again. Plenty of parking.
Our club held its Christmas Dinner there. Lovely warm,friendly welcome. Wonderful relaxing atmosphere. Excellent choice on menu. We had a lovely part of the restaurant to ourselves.nice and private. Food was served promptly nice and hot and generous servings. Excellent value for money and absolutely delicious. We had a fabulous evening.
I stayed here a couple of nights. It was good value, I thought, as I got it at £89 per night with 2nd night free. It wasn't clear where the hotel reception was. As I went into the bar and then was directed to where to go. The room looked clean however, on closer inspection it was not. There was mould in the shower room/en suite. A half filled handwash. The net was frayed and had mould on it. There were cobwebs and dead bugs on the floor. The room stank of damp. The carpet may have been cleaned and not completely dried. However, the smell to me was over bearing. I did inform reception. Only to be told she couldn't smell anything. But in the next breathe she explained her sense of smell was not great anyway. I was given a tin of air freshener. However, this did not cover the smell. On the second day the room was not cleaned and only one bin was emptied. I had a full English on the first morning and it just looked like it had been thrown on the plate. The beans and tomatoes were not separate which made the breakfast soggy. I couldn't eat it. I was told they were going to change the TV in the room because the ones in the room were not great. When it was put in the room it hadn't been cleaned. It wasnt a great view as it was the car park. I was woken up with people banging their doors at 1.30am. I used the restaurant in the bar area and the staff were excellent. Couldnt be more attentive. However, if you want to eat here make sure you book. And eat the homemade food on the menu because everything else is frozen. It's quite pricey too. The great thing is the location and the Cornish cider.
Love the place and staff are awsome but roast seemed like it's re heated. Don't feel like it's made fresh there to be fair. Can't help feeling food is brought in and re heated on site. But we did have a good time
