What a shame, reopened after nearly 2 years. Very overpriced for the area at over £4 a pint, aiming for the teenage crowd clearly and not for the majority of the village. Was so loud music inside could speak. Staff vaping behind the bar, not welcoming. Zero welcome on all fronts, clearly owners' children, and on mobile phones and vaping. Was over £4 a pint. This is the valleys!! Wouldn't change the barrel when run out so we left and went to The Bridge. To sum up, cold, unwelcoming, loud, doesn't fit in with the village, over priced. What a shame, don't think will be here for long.
Loved the meal, fab staff. Definitely recommend 😋
Just returned from Sunday lunch in the Pit Wheel and we couldn't fault anything . The French onion soup was to die for and the mushroom and bacon salad starter was delicious. Our main course was beautiful with a choice of deliciously cooked meats and vegetables. The service was amazing and with drinks the bill was just over £30. Didn't have room for dessert so I brought it home will update on the cheesecake later . Many thanks to all of the staff can't wait to return .
Lovely food. Tasty curry. Medium was a bit hot but delicious. Would go for mild next time. Hubby had chicken in bacon with cheese thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great food, well presented good sized portions. Attentive staff. Made us feel welcome. Nothing I could find wrong with food, service or venue. Would definitely go again
