Good food and great service. Morning coffee and breakfast with a good friend. Enjoyed the catch up and the lady behind the bar was great, absolute credit to the company, just a shame I didn't catch her name Update for the owner, it's was yesterday Morning 30/01/2024

Visited beginning of January with my in-laws who were visiting for New Year. Absolutely can not fault it. The 2 Girls who were on were really friendly and really approachable. We had- Gammon Steak which was huge, Vegetable Lasagne which my mother in law really enjoyed, she commented that it actually tasted of something as, as a veggie se can be uninspired by choices, my husband and I went for Sizzler plates Steak & Salmon, food came real quick was hot and well presented, decided to stay for dessert to prolong the in-laws departure again couldn’t find fault- although The Trawl is my “local” we don’t go as often as we should, but will definitely be first choice from now.. Great Team & Lovely atmosphere 10/10! ❤️

Just visited 14.01.24 for dinner I ordered 'the gravy one' burger, ordered it as fancied something... with gravy. Brought the food out and chips slid off the plate onto the table. Server went to pick them up with his hands, but I quickly got to them first, he did apologise. Didn't bother with new ones wasn't offered to be fair. Burger had no gravy so asked for some and the jug on the side... As per menu. He brings out a jug 1/4 full. I asked him to fill it up as once poured over the burger there will be none left for 'dipping' anyway comes back after speaking to chef and tells us that's 2 servings in 1. I mean to be refused was in itself embarrassing. Secondly... There wasn't even enough to even pour on the burger. Ruined the meal and left unsatisfied. My husband also received a mere scrap of coleslaw along with his cold chips. Oh and onion rings were uncooked but didn't want to be embarrassed further making another request.

A pleasant enough place and the food was good enough to be enjoyable. Nicely decorated, accommodation given to accessibility needs. Polite and courteous staff, fresh food. Not an exciting or exceptional pub but a lot better than some places I've been. Maybe not worthy of a detour to visit, but very certainly worth popping in if you are nearby.

Fridays deal on the burgers... beautiful........Update? I have just come again for the Friday deal, and I feel so disappointed... the burgers were burnt at the edges and just cooked on the inside. The burger bun was tough and one teeny peice if lettuce. A few scraggy chips.. That's it.. I ate it as I was really hungry, and it was still edible but a very noticeable change from 8 months ago.. sign of the times, I suppose. If it was the full price, I would I sent it back. Service was still brilliant and polite staff.
