A cozy pub that offers a warm welcome from the generous and friendly owner and staff. The log fire, the stew and sticky toffee pudding were all wonderful!
We stopped at the Tower Bank Arms for lunch on a wet and cold December afternoon. It was an incredibly warm and welcoming pub. We loved it there. Delicious food, delicious pints of beer and great hospitality!
Called in for a post-walk pint and very glad we did. Perfect pint of Loweswater Gold, well kept and pulled, in a lovely old pub building with fire on and dogs welcome. Would have stayed for more if we’d had time…
A superlative example of how to do a great traditional British pub well. Service is superb, real ale quality and selection absolutely top notch. Outside it's picturesque, inside an example of a classic pub, small, but an open fire, atmospheric and spotlessly clean. Food good, but you must book for dinner. Outdoor seating. Car parking would be difficult in peak season, but I would recommend walking there. Only an easy 2 mile walk from Hawkshead. In my humble option possibly the best kept pub in the Lakes.
We ate at the Tower Bank Arms for the first time after many years of visiting the are and what a please surprise. The food, service and beer were all excellent, but there was some lovely quality touches like lit candles on the tables, and cloth napkins. Very friendly, cozy atmosphere. Will certainly go again.
