Established six years ago and originally located at Whittlebury, our brewery is now based in the old mill in the centre of Towcester. The mill itself is a grade II listed building, which dates back to 1794 and still has a working turbine. The Mill is home to our five brewers barrel brew plant where we produce a number of Towcester Mill core beers as well as a variety of seasonal and one off special ales. These beers are available to drink in our tap room or to buy from our shop in a variety of different packs from a single bottle right up to a firkin of just under 72 pints!
Along with our busy brewery and tap room, we also conduct brewery tours so you can see how we brew the perfect pint that we serve fresh in our tap room.
One of the hidden gems hidden in the back streets of Towcester The mill pub is a lovley pub with an even better atmosphere. The team are always looking for new ways to entertain the guests and bring something new to town From comedy nights to music bingo. I highly recommend you go and take a look for yourself
I booked the venue to host my dad's surprise 60th birthday party and we were so well looked after. We had a wonderful day and Kathryn was so helpful during the build up. It's a really lovely venue - the room/s on the top floor were ideal for us and we had the flexibility of our own choices for food which was useful. We wouldn't hesitate to book again if we needed something in the area.
We had our wedding reception at Towcester Mill Brewery two weeks after our tiny marriage registration. Kathryn was great at answering all our questions leading up to the event and we thought the room hire cost was so reasonable, great for those on a budget! The Malt Room is a beautiful blank canvas- it’s so rustic and you can add as much or as little as you like in terms of further decoration. It’s got a fab layout of a party room and a more chilled bar area where you can sit and have a chat. We loved that there were no restrictions on food and our guests enjoyed a Hog Roast. We had a DJ play music for our party. Jo was our dedicated bar person and she was superb. If we were to do it all over again, we would pick Towcester Mill Brewery everytime!
Just wanted to say a huge thank you for Kathryn and all bar staff who were super helpful and friendly with organising our baby shower on the 7th Jan! The staff members were really accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure our guest had a great time. Highly recommend!
My go to place for a relaxed drink, especially when the sun is out due to the large beer garden, as the staff are super friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about what they are selling. The bar is really cosy on the inside and they serve a wide range of craft beers and ciders (draught and bottled), but also cater for gin, wine and prosecco drinkers alike! All drinks are really reasonably priced and suit any budget. Set in an old water mill, it's the ideal place to take friends, family and your four legged friends too! If you're ever in Towcester you MUST pay this place a visit.
