Here at Peterborough Toby, we believe there's only one way to do our beloved Great British roast - and that's properly. Every spud is peeled on site and checked by hand, all of our meat is slow-cooked to succulent perfection, and our Yorkshire puds are freshly made throughout the day. Since the end of 2023 the roast beef has been very fatty and tough to eat. This has been the case on 4 consecutive occasions up to and including today - end Jan 2024. All other joints and food is good such a shame - Toby need to rethink this please
I came tonight with a friend for dinner. First, we were greeted by a very lovely, polite young man called Daniel and we were served by a lovely young lady called Amy! Absolutely beautiful food, especially the beef - it was melt in your mouth! and because we had a voucher, we decided to go the whole hog and have a dessert! Very lovely too! Customer service was spot on! Not just your general hi and get you seated. My friend and I had a lovely time with a few laughs and brilliant general conversations with Amy and Daniel! Lovely atmosphere, delicious food and great customer service! That’s all you want when you come out for dinner! Well done! The best time I’ve had at your Toby carvery, and I come a lot! Thank you!
First trip back here since refurb. Restaurant looks lovely. Usual excellent choice from the carvery and plenty of vegetables to choose from. It was quite busy which is not surprising as the lovely, helpful staff make all the difference. Mario is a lovely guy. Nothing is too much trouble. Great atmosphere. Definitely going to make the effort to go more often. Oh, and excellent value for money! Well done everyone 👏
Great carvery and great value for money in my opinion. They were very busy when we visited but we were quickly seated (reservation was essential), and quickly served by friendly efficient staff. Great service from chefs behind food counter. Good choice of meats and veg.
Great friendly atmosphere with excellent service from all staff. Manager Gary was very welcoming and present throughout my whole visit. My server waiter Mario was excellent as always and the Chef Mark was lovely. The food was delicious and hot, will be visiting again in the near future. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
