Food was good potatoes in beef dripping were excellent, except meat was carved so thin you could practically see through it!! Would like to see more choice of desserts more simpler ones not so many flavours.
Leanne was serving us that Evening along with Donna and can I just say how friendly and helpful they were. Leannes service was great. She made us all feel comfortable and delivered the birthday cake with Donna with kindness and thoughtfully. Such lovely evening thanks to these lovely ladies. We will be back for sure!
I had dinner here for my birthday and I must say it was a lovely evening out. The staff were lovely and went above and beyond with service and the carver even steamed some fresh veg and made sure nothing was put on it for my daughter with a few allergies. Cannot thank the staff enough for a wonderful service!
Booking great, lady on the phone was lovely and helpful… when we got there we were a party of 16 on 4 separate tables within the same area.. this was not acceptable so staff member said we could move the tables if we wanted and we did but it baffles me as to why we weren’t put in another area which had plenty of room.. we have been there before and it was great. Tea/coffee machine gets switched off at 9.00pm so we couldn’t have one after our meal, draught beers not served after 9.00pm?? What’s going on here? It’s supposed to be a family Xmas meal but it turned out to be a very stressful affair. The Toby on the A10 is even worse.. awful service there.. Do you not want us to come to your restaurant? I just don’t understand how Toby Carvery has become so disappointing
First experience at Toby Carvery. Heard some good things, can't say the food was terrible, it's almost like exactly what I expected at 4pm on a Sunday, value for money I suppose when you can pile your plate with food. We had to get own drinks from bar as no one came over to us. The issue was the standards, un clean areas which was worrying, dirty carpets, cluttered waitress stations. The outside area full of rubbish and even dirty nappies on the floor! The place could be so lovely if it was given a good scrub and the finer details looking at.
