Great pub and excellent staff, let down by paper thin walls and a night light in the room designed to help planes land. Breakfast was served far too late in the day for a business trip. All in all, not great for the price.
I stayed 1 night here in their very nicely decorated and furnished room. The room overlooked the marketplace. The room included tea and coffee, basic toiletries, a TV and a very pleasant shower. The bed was clean and soft and offered a good night sleep. Breakfast was included in the package and this was a very enjoyable Full-English. Highly recommended! It was a little noisy in the evening, but hey, it's above a pub, so to be expected. So why the 4 stars? In our room was a shocking H&S lapse. The shower switch has exposed wires showing. We didn't point this out to the (very pleasant) staff because it is impossible to not notice this - they would have been aware. I would recommend this hotel. The staff were great, room lovely and food excellent. Hopefully they will very quickly rectify the issue we had.
I felt excellent! Quality service and very good food. The rustic location with a tasteful arrangement and hospitable staff. It deserves 5 stars!
The room no4 was small but adequate, but had a great view of the square , the bed was comfy. The bathroom was clean and serviceable, the main pain in the butt was the bright green emergency light in the area between bed space and bathroom which totally lit up the room, very bright, far too bright, so if you require total darkness to sleep you're not gonna get it. Also beware of the big steps up level change from sleeping area to bathroom. Also as it's an old building loads of noise heard from adjoining rooms especially creaky floor boards, coughing, doors opening and closing, toilets flushing, showers, etc. All said if you can deal with all this it's still a lovely characterful place to stay and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is good too.
The general manager Chris is hilarious and show us everything for our rooms. Also introduce us to a few his workers and best friend. Our room is comfortable and fits our needs perfectly. The food is really fantastic, we got fish & chips with beer of course. The workers are lively folks and wonderful. I definitely will stay here again. Thank you for making our trip Warwick more enjoyable. We are more quieter folks and don't talk much but everyone was very friendly to us and still talked to us. We felt welcome. The rooms are above the pub and it is noisily, you will hear music, people and things moving around. Which of course you would hear it, being above a pub! I think this place is great for younger crowd or night owls. There is annoying green light in room that have to be there for safely because the steps in room. So bring a sleep mask!
