Used to be great place for food and a friendly drink. Now new rules give staff authority to stop serving drink. In all my years of going have seen people falling down drunk and still served. I was there with my daughter's and only had 4 pints and daughter refused by staff as they said she was too drunk. I know 100% she was not. The staff and management were younger than my daughter. So now myself, daughters and friends have stopped going in but know this won't stop them from making money.
Had my New Year's eve breakfast here, after meeting my son from the gym, next door. What a lovely treat! Nice place, relaxed atmosphere and very pleasant staff. Food spot on! We will do this again!
Canny good food, great pints. Bottomless coffees. I like either just plain black, or mocha with an espresso atop & some choc shakings
One of the best priced pubs in Gateshead town centre. Not all spoons do the smashed avacado muffins for breakfast, so it’s great that these are provided. On this occasion some the bacon was only look warm, as were the eggs. Can’t go wrong with the unlimited coffee though.

Warm friendly traditional pub which has just had a refurb. With free pool from 4-8 and karaoke Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and drinks offers too!
