Intimate, elegant, friendly and quirky, Tiger Hornsby is currently considered one of Newcastle’s best cocktail bars. Situated on the iconic Quayside, Tiger Hornsby represents a new take on the legendary bars that enriched that part of the city since the 70’s, and welcomes customers of all ages. From our award winning cocktails to our superb resident DJ’s and live musicians, we are confident you will have an amazing experience at Tiger Hornsby.
We take your drinks very seriously and pride ourselves on constantly adapting and developing our drinks menu, with inspiring experimental drinks as well as delicious classic cocktails for you to try. Our menu is updated seasonally, so we aim to make sure there is something new to try on every visit.
The venue is always available for hire for corporate events, birthday parties, or any other celebration or gathering you have in mind. We can accommodate any group from 2 to 200 people, and we have all the additions you could need from catering to full AV connectivity and free wifi, as well as DJs and other live entertainment. We will always make sure your event goes off with a bang.

Mot a cheap bar bar but Bar staff were on the ball for a busy bar, the musicians were alright too, playing recognisable tunes .dj played decent music also. Mixed ages altho some of the young lads were rude to older people finally great negroni 😋....

It's a popular bar with great decor and atmosphere. I was lured in by the live music. A man with a guitar was singing lots of songs I knew, giving it his all. The Geordie Gin cocktail was really tasty. The cocktail menu was extensive. I'd visit this bar again.

I first came here in the daytime where we sat outside and chilled with a few cocktails in the sunshine. Although you are next to a road which can get busy in peak hours, it's still quite pleasant and the drinks are great, especially during happy hour. I then returned on a Sunday night and sat inside. It felt very classy and had a great, chilled atmosphere. After a few drinks we tried the cheeseboard for something to nibble on and it was really nice: not something I would usually expect to eat in a cocktail bar but was definitely better than a bag of crisps. The staff are really friendly and there wasn't a long wait for drinks which can be a problem in cocktail bars.

Nice bar in the quayside. Not masses of gable set up for small groups of people rather than couples. Nice cocktail menu. Seemed to attract an older audience on the day I was here. Had Live music on. Musician was very good. Would come back.
